On Saturday Aug. 3, 2019 the Brompton World Championship Final took place in London, England. The race course covers 8 laps around St. James Park, past Buckingham Palace and down The Mall. Cyclists are encouraged to dress up, with the majority donning full suits and skirts. Competitors start the race with a Le Mans-style dash, having to unfold their bikes before taking on the 16km circuit. In August 2015 the Brompton World Championship USA was held in Richmond, VA.
